Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 6, 2026

BetterKeeper is built with privacy as a first principle. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the app:

  • Your content — tasks, notes, projects, and attachments you create. This is stored in your private iCloud account, not on our servers.
  • Account identifiers — your Apple ID is used by iCloud for sync; we never see it.
  • Diagnostics — anonymous crash logs and aggregated usage metrics (only if you opt in via iOS settings).

2. What we don't collect

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not read the contents of your tasks, notes, or projects.

3. iCloud sync

Sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit. Your data lives in your personal iCloud container and is end-to-end encrypted in transit. We cannot access it. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. We receive anonymized receipts for subscription status only — never your payment details.

5. Sharing features

When you share a project or channel with another BetterKeeper user, that content is exchanged through Apple's CloudKit shared database. Only invited participants have access.

6. Your rights

You can delete any item at any time from within the app. To fully remove BetterKeeper data, delete the app and remove it from iCloud via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.

7. Children

BetterKeeper is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page and, if significant, inside the app.
